Hi once again, Im back with a two piece 1 1/16" button w/ shank. Its light and tinny. I believe it to be brass or copper. The back mark says Waterville. Mfg co on outer edge. The front shows three birds in grass with a tree and mountain backdrop. Found near an old spring a couple seasons ago.

I believe it's a 1847-1850 Sporting button.

Beautiful watch case style golden age gilt-era sporting button, long tailed partridge bird, tooled border, unusual spread eagle "Waterville Mfg. Co." (1847-50) back mark. Small dent on back, shank is bent a bit. Med. 1" (25mm). $28.00
