Got these at a auction in Mass., shocked to be the only bidder after getting the condition report from the auctioneer. The green chestnut is 10" tall and as good as they come, I'm told it's 1770-90, it's the one bottle that really attracted me to the group. As you can see it'll need a little putty to make sure it doesn't fall off the shelf, it's the Leaning Bottle of Pisa.

The other gem is the great little iron pontiled 1/2 pint eagle/eagle flask from Pittsburgh, the little utility bottle from Coventry CT> isn;t a bad one either...

Nice buys! But, the green bottle has a French lip treatment. I think the bottle IS French, from the mid-1800s. I think I've seen one or more for sale on French eBay. It makes a great display!

That's a sweet 1/2 pint eagle.

Great pick-ups Jim. Hope you got a helluva deal!

it helps to be in the know , it's still surprising how little most people know about glass , and bottles in particular . good going jim !
