Two Ring Hole

Got out today for a couple of hours and decided to hunt an old Baptist church that was built in 1924. Figuring I had a good chance at some silver, I ended up with $1.79 in clad. Pfftt.

I did have an exciting moment when I dug two class rings out of the same hole. Thought I had scratched off some gold and a class ring from the bucket list. Sadly, after getting home and cleaning them up, they turned out to be cheap knock-off jewelry you can buy for less than $20. What a let down!

Will keep plugging away.

There's a guy here in the For Sale forum who sells replacement coil tabs, they were fairly inexpensive and save having to replace the coil. I bought a set for "just in case" someday - good things to have in spare parts. Think they were like ten bucks..... You may have to page down a few times to find the ad.

Turns out the ad was pegged to the top! Seems others like it as a solution as well.

They sell ear replacements. I already broke the ears off my 800 coil but they replaced the coil thank goodness.
