This is a compilation of a few hunts over the last several days. I found 117 clad coins worth $6.69, 7 Wheats from 1918 to 1956, 1941 Merc dime, 1951d Washington quarter, 1903 Indian Head, musket ball, an old buckle marked Hamilton, what I think is part of an old brooch, and the last but not least item is a medal from Lakemont Park in Altoona Pa. commemorating G.A.R. vets day[ Civil War vets] dated Sept. 6th, 1913. It is missing the top part with the pin to attach it to their uniform. It was really rough looking before cleaning, but it turned out pretty good. I went back and searched the place I found it hoping to find the top part, but no luck! I still think it is an important piece of local history. Lakemont Park dates back to the late 1800's. Thanks for looking. Happy hunting and keep on swinging.
