Two street tear-outs, slim pickings…..

The city cracked open the two street reconstructions they are doing this year. So far, nothing spectacular but enough to keep me interested. Hopefully they scrap down a few inches and release some treasures!

Probably my favorite find is the Hup-mobile gas cap. These cars were produced in Detroit between 1909 and 1939. I love digging local and Michigan related items

The “sterlin” ring would have been nice if it hadn’t been crushed and lost its stone

You never know with those street tear ups. Some of them are dirty old penny after dirty old penny, and then you find a Barber half dollar or a Morgan dollar. Keep after it and good luck!
