While getting ready to go back to work, help MDW in the yard, and get used to the altitude again, I have still found time to a) research and obtain permission to MD some sites here in Box Elder County and in Wyoming. The one in Wyoming will be a pre-civil war venture but should pay off huge.

Anyway, over the past two Sundays, I hit the oldest park in town (est 1909) thinking I would find at least one silver coin. Well it would seem at some point in the past it was totally resurfaced because it had yielded nothing but clad and trash.

At least I got some battery money and my job gave me a new ride.....

Still a good pull. fake ring, button, peace pendant...Nice Ride!

Congrats on the ride... :icon_thumright:

those older parks are tough to get anything with age anymore, but still a still a good hunt.
your new ride has some muscle to it, how about a ride............in the front seat of course :nono:

Thanks for the compliments everyone!! When I left for military duty in Dec 2010 my car was a Ford Crown Vic. Coming back to this is like stepping off the Wright Brother's plane and stepping in the Space Shuttle....40 more HP than last years model. I truly think that most people are oblivious as to what is passing them by in the left hand lane (there is no such thing as a fast lane).....I hope to get up to my prospect in Wyoming next week (Tues, Weds, Thurs?) and if I find anything I will be sure to let you all know...

Ah, it's your new car! At first I thought you got in trouble and was given a free ride to the pokey!

It does help with getting access to land. I happened to drive down to an old ford site in my county, in order to check it out, and the property owner was there. She actually was getting ready to call for an officer to come do a VIN inspection on a trailer she needed to register. Well I did the VIN inspection for her and we got chatting about the history of the place. Next thing you know I had permission to hunt the ford site and the fields on either side of the river........ :occasion14:
