Hi,
I am interested in hunting for older objects such as medieval weapons, etc. (in Japan/Europe).
Has anyone seen a chart for typical soil accumulation rates under varried conditions?
For example- How much soil would accumulate in the span of 500 years, in a forest?
Obviously rainfall, broadleaf versus coniferous foliage, and other geological factors will alter those rates- however I think there must be some basic equation- Perhaps something found in an archaeology book somewhere?
There is a big difference in one inch every hundred years, and 2.
I dont know how useful an Explorer II would be in searching for items so dated. ^_^
If anybody has some ideas, thanks ahead of time.
Brian.
