Got this button from the same site as the navy button I posted a couple days ago… A pretty rare button to recover for us here in Ohio…put a seated quarter beside it for size

By diplomat's button is that a particular style or were they actually issued to American diplomats? Sweet find, either way.

That's really cool, and probably rare. It would be an interesting research project of find out which diplomat may have been in that area during the period...or which had family there.
I have, the site is one of the 1st in the township, the guy was somewhat spoken of in the history books, At least if you google his name you find quiet a bit of information on him. I’d tell you the name but then you would be able to find my site….
