Went for another hunt with my new found friend and we seem to be doing jsut fine finding the OLD stuff. Can anyone possatively I D this one for me... Possably a date ? It was found in the water and about a foot and a half deep in the sand. The spring door for the lock works perfect. The chain has long since rotted away from the salt. Any help would be great... I can't help too much, but these are related to railroad and rail cars locks when the Postal Department sorted mail on the fly!

Can't say for sure as I have not seen any Postal locks not marked U.PS. Post Office.
ut here is one to look at. You should post this in the "What is it" Forum.
