U.S virginia coin help

i went and checked out a new field today its so big i didnt know where to start so i put 30 min in each section to see what i get ,and i got nothing just junk after 2 and a half hours i decided to head to the truck and 10 yards away i got this coin and i never seen one like it does anyone know anything about this ..ty

The USS Virginia was a three stack steamer battleship, launched in 1904.

My guess would be that you have a shore leave token, or a souvenir token from that ship.

Early 20th century. (1900-1920)
