Anyone tried using one of these to clean coins?

Saw this on Harbor Freight and was curios if they work.

If so what do you use for a cleaning solution

Ive had less expensive ones and better ones. A more expensive one will have more transducers. I think mine has three in it. If you are going to use it a lot spend a little more. It will clean better, faster and last longer. Mine is Kendal. Not saying its the best, but its a good start and has lasted 4-5 years and still going. Also just to keep in mind you can use it for cleaning many things, get one at least large enough to fit a pair of glasses. Good luck

We have run a few cleaning trials in the past for coins with fairly decent results, we used a cleaning fluid called 'rodastel 30', photos of the results here - Ultrasonic Cleaning Coins - Kemet

While some type of solution may be needed for a decent to great outcome on some coins, I believe for corroded coins destined for rolling to take to the Bank, then water is likely all that is needed.
