I called few banks this morning to see who was open on Saturday morning. This one bank told me they had 22 rolls so I told them I would be there soon.

When I went in this woman told me she had had these rolls awhile and was glad to finally get rid of them, so that kinda excited me. To make a long story short.......there were 7 complete rolls of silver!!!!!! Every coin in 7 rolls were nothing but silver. I was just shocked to see this. This probably will never happen to me again....never! Out of the remaining rolls there were some silver totaling about half a roll.

Totals
4 - Franklins 57, 62 & 2x63
10-64's
24-65's
13-66's
34-67's
27-68's
40-69's
152 total

Now that it is over I am wondering how they had these coins? Did some old couple cash them in for face value? Were they just in the bank vault that long and never got out into the public? Things that make you go hmmmmm???? Anyway, it sure excited me and for sure made my day!

Looking forward to Monday now....I never said that before....hehehe.

Thanks MountainMan. The wrappers really did not look old at all. They didn't look freshly wrapped either. It's not like I had to knock the dust off of the wrappers. I should have taken a few pictures because the chance of that happening again are slim.....very slim.

Lejeuene: You are definitely Rookie Of The Year! Looking back on your last 4 Posts, you've found 25-90% & 251- 40% Halves.

Now, According to my calculations, thats a Profit of $500! In 2 Weeks!!! Almost as good as a Job! WTG!

YOU HAVE DONE AWESOME WAY TO GO HOPE YOUR LUCK KEEPS YOU IN MANY FINDS LETS SEE SOME PHOTOS SOMETIME ;) MICHAEL

Thanks guys.....don't remember when I started but it was not that long ago...maybe 3 weeks?? Yesterday I found another Walker...that is 3 total. I haven't posted any pictures because Walkers & Franklins are not new to most of you but for me they are and I didn't want to feel stupid posting a picture of something that is common for you guys. My totals so far this year.......

3-Walkers
6- Franklins

Total 90% = 31
Total 40% = 375

I will lay them all out and take a picture.....but no laughing okay.....

Way to go Lejeuene! That's some serious beginners luck,if I do say so myself! From my personal experiences,it seems when you can find single rolls at banks they stand a better chance of holding silver than when you "order" a whole box. Most likely they were brought in by some elderly person that didn't even consider the fact that they are silver or worth anything other than face value. It's kinda sad but sometimes when their other half passes away, many times they will just cash in coin that their significant other had been hoarding or collecting for years.I have heard stories of a guy in my town that found full rolls of Walking Liberty halves and rolls of Morgans dollars from this type of scenario.Anyway congrats on the great finds.I can't wait till Thursday for mine to come in.It's stories like yours that keep me going! :)

BTW-Don't ever feel stupid about posting pictures of your finds.Especially finds like those.Pictures are always much appreciated. You better believe i'll be posting some when I find something.I haven't CRH'd for a while because I got skunked on my last several boxes.Reading everyones' stories got me going again.Good luck! ;)

Okay, here are the pictures Michael. These are my total finds for 2007 which I started on 1-26 looking back on a post of my first finds.

I forgot to say....all the coins lined up in the bottom are 40%'ers and the top right are the 1964's. The middle three are the Walkers & the top left are the six Franklins. I have been hustling since 1-26-07. I am not finished yet.

AWESOME TOTALS!!!!!!! You said earlier on when you started CRH that you wanted to get a silver stash together. I think you are definitely well on you way! Congrats.

Wowser! Sweet Mama.........It makes me want to believe! I once found a single roll of silver and I was esctatic. I think my eye balls would fall right out of head and roll away if I found 7. Congradulations!

Wow nice Lejeune!! Everyone dreams of digging up a treasure chest but thinks its impossible. But a few pieces of silver a week, and guess what, at the end of the year (or month, in your case,) peoples eyes pop out at the treasure thats possible to be found. Keep going! FYI I chopped 16 coins out of the ice in VA today...it all adds up.

I am so... so... so.... SO... Jealous! How much have you gone through so far? Im sure I am pushing $20 grand..... Started out real good but seems to be slowing down. Ive got about 200 40%, 25 Franklins, and 12 walkers.

Good job!

Great bunch of finds!!! Makes me want to try again after bunches of years. Used to Coin roll hunt, many years ago and silver was to far in between rolls so I quit.
Those pics are proof it is still possible to find silver.

Way to go !!!!! :) :) :) :)

NICE!

And you were worried that you wouldnt find anything. :)
