So I think I have experienced, what you call a good weekend.
Woke up Saturday morning, and wanted to swing the coil, but also wanted to do some landscaping in front of the house on both sides of the sidewalk. Then it occurred to me that that's where I found a merc. last year.
So I'll work and hunt at the same time
Set up the wheelbarrow with some half inch hardware cloth, grabbed the pinpointer, the lesche, and got to work.
Cut out the sod.(That lesche is a work horse)
And took it to the back to be processed(
).
After I sifted all the dirt next to the side walk,(8" depth), and processing the sod in the back. The final tally was:
3 marbles. (One possibly clay.)
1 very nice 34 Merc.
1 not so very nice 20's 30's? Merc.
Pics coming.
So I'm not done.
Sunday, just happened to be the day that the tenant at my girlfriends rental property moved out because my GF sold the house.
I put my gear on , and waddled my happy ass over there, thinking the whole time, "This has to be Virgin ground". Well I think I was right!
I started by the sidewalk leading to the front door, and I began an incredible coin shoot. My first. And I couldn't believe what was coming out of the ground.
