Unexpected Find

Never would I have expected this to come out of a bag of half dollars. I just picked up a small bag of halves of a coin machine. They hand count the $71 dollars it had in it. I could hear a few silvers while they were counting. Ended up with a 53 Ben and a 40%er!!!

BUT, when they brought me the bag of $71 worth of halves, they also brought me the three "tokens" that were in the bag and told me I could have them.

One was a New Zealand coin, one was a car wash token, and one was this...









The obverse is pretty beat up, but I think I can make out a date of 1852. Sure thought I would find one of these with my AT Pro.

I finally locked down a bag supply and have 2 bags coming this week. First time paying any fees on ordering. But 5 bucks per bag isn't unreasonable in my book. Heck I had a bank that I ordered 8 boxes a week. Try and charge me 17.50 per box!!! Crooks.

I have been on the road for the last few months with my job. Lately I have come across MANY banks that charge 10 cents per roll to non customers. I have heard of charging for boxes, but never per roll. And that is crazy how much they wanted to charge you, plus to not tell you when you ordered them, crooks is right!!

By getting bags, you'll get all the silver BEFORE it gets into the boxes. I have much better luck with bags. Hope you have great luck with the bags!!

Yeah ive had good luck with rolls from this bank. And apparently this bank uses its own Central system to pool the coins from their machines... I think ill do good!!

There is one branch will order me 6k at any time I call. I always bring them a bag of chocolate which cost me $3. That would be 25c per box plus my humble attitude.
