Years ago when i was showing relics to the fourth grade class at Woolwine Elementary, i was showing how a piece would be used to cut meat and laid the palm of my hand open in front of the class. The kids loved it but not as much as when i sat my beard on fire demonstrating bow drill fire making. Very Nice piece!
Looks awesome, great save and thanks for the show
Nice on Mike, I always had this theory that they wanted to keep a thin edge as it was resarpened..That’s the way to do it...every larger collection usually has a few..course, the argument against that is, they’re conserving flint, and the argument against that is, they were knee deep in chips...Hey, don’t pay any attention to me this morning I feel a little spacey, Lol...Nice knife.
Nice looking point. It looks like heat treated Costal Plains chert.
I have been pulled over twice by deputies that i didn't recognise that mentioned remembering me bringing relics when they were in school. No tickets.I bet if you ran into them today they'll remember that, cool story Steve.

I know Culbreath points are not typically unfacial but I wonder if that is one! Nice find.
