union campsite,lower potomac riv.,md(tues)

2nd camp firing range a few hundred yds. from the 1st 1 i found in early dec.(over 200 .69 musketballs & a few .69 minies).these are .58 minies,a few .577 enfield(2 w/plugs),top & bottom of a 3 part "shaler" & a possible revolving rifle slug.i assume these were dif.units w/dif. weapons.

i'm going back to look for that middle piece too!i found these enfield slugs & believe it or not i tied to clean what i thought was dirt from the cavity.......it was a plug.fortunately i didn't ruin the other 1(no plug in the other 2).

nice point,most of the 1's i've found are in nc.i did find a quartz point at this union campsite last summer...quite a surprise(1st in md).
