That things only been laying around since 1862... kinda cool touching something that was last touched by the soldier who lost it I think.

The back is in excellent condition. It still has the eye and is very sturdy

Is there a back mark? I'm just curious about those things...

There is, It looks like two words but all I can see is the indentations because it is worn. I will have to look again with my magnifying glass but there definitely is leters on the back.
