Well I think this is actually the first thing I have posted as being "found" this year.
This was found in a box of "junk" that we removed from the barn when my parents sold their home this year.
I have seen a bunch of different mouse traps but none like this one.

You sure that's not a bottle cap opener ? ( You do know you're about to get a lot of cute cat pictures ...right ?)
 
Cool old mousetrap ~ I can see the bait pan on the bottom. It does look like it could double as an old bottle opener.

So after reading the comments I googled "McGill metal products " and up comes a vintage mouse trap selling for $24.99 on Ebay.

Do you have side and bottom pics? Kind of looks like a bottle opener. Are there jaws on that? Thanks.

Cool. After a mouse home invasion a few years back, I developed a great appreciation for the efficiency of mouse trap designs. That looks like it would have been a good one, although a bit bloody.

I looked at a couple others and there are some pretty far out ones that were made back in the day.
