Unknown Button

I found this on the shoreline of Maine. It is the size of a nickel for size preference. I would like to know the age of it or what type it is.

I can't see any detail on the front. I'm guessing civilian flat button, plain front.

The back says TREBLE GILT and STANDARD (COLOUR?).

It is turn of the 19th C, give or take a decade. Likely from a British manufacturer.
