Any hint of a date? Looks like that "2" is struck after many years of wear.

No I can't see it... I looked online and saw a 1788 that looks like it. But not positive.

It looks like a c. 1740s-1750s King George II halfpenny to me. The counterstamp could be for a number of things. Maybe it was repurposed later on as a gaming piece...? That's just one idea.
