Unknown iron part

This all iron part came from a english WWII trench. Some idea about it? I think it can be axis of a hand vehicle that english Army used for ammunitions\rations.

Welcome to the forum Matteo. You need to clean it up with electrolysis and take another pic but it looks like a large screw auger of somekind.
