Unknown River sample

While rock hunting in a dry river bed, in search of red crystals (which I now believe to be identified as dolomite or some type of quartzite), I came across this rock. Very out of place, no others like it. Have not seen any like it before either. Found in a creek bed. A magnet on a string sticks to it, though not strongly.

Probably a granitoid.

That'd be my guess to. A rounded bit of granite. Harder bits can travel a long way an often have some magnetite mixed in~ that would be why your magnets react to it. Keep an eye out like you have for stuff that just does not fit into an area. Unusual is always a treat.
