Unknown SIGNED Pottery Vase

Any ideas on who made this vase?

I can't quite make out the script stamp on the bottom.

Not sure if it is NL, JN, or something completely different.

I'd vote for JN. With a possible P included in the N. I believe many artists sign their work on the bottom of the base as if you we're looking at a plate. As in you bottom pic.
