MY first impression is the remnants of a hanging balance scale.

Agreed, that large circular hole at the end makes me think this may not be a sword but something more utilitarian like a piece of old farming equipment. We will need to see more pictures to know for sure though. I must admit I am not too experienced with sword identification, but there are many experts on here who are who will know for sure.

Help me identify what appears to be extremely old swords? They have very detailed carvings and inscriptions, also it appears be made of bone or bone and metal, there amazing to see in real life. Thanks
Interesting..Better pics may help help nail it down

Welcome to TNet, Randy. Those pieces are intriguing. Can you tell us generically where they were found and any background history of the area?
The swords were found in South East USA,found them on a nature hike down the side of river metal detecting,, the area I'm not sure of the ancient history,it's definitely old. There was more stuff to recover but it was to big .maybe a old ship wreckage or stronghold. I'm guessing maybe pre clovis. I don't know

As i stated in your other thread... IMO...you have found parts of a hanging scale or something.
Not swords.

Here are some pictures of other stuff I found in the same area
Definitely an interesting array of artifacts. It would be fascinating to do some in-depth research on the area to see what exactly went on there.

Pre Clovis?
Maybe look that period up.
Post Civil War would be closer.
