I got out yesterday for about nine hours and came home with a few Civil War relics. One piece of lead I was unsure of, but I thought I recognized it from a bullet book...so as soon as I got home I jumped into the books and found it. The McKee & Mason book bullet #152 describes it as a 58 cal. CSA "slug ball". I've never found one so I'm thrilled.
I found a few more bullets and artillery fragments as well.--JB
