Nice looking crotal bell Rodger. I found one similar to that one in the Cleveland area. I use to hunt in and around Greenville a few years back. I hunt mostly old home site's and schools.

Is there a letter or number or makers mark on the bottom where the slot is? That will help date it. I found one in Clinton, Ms several years ago along the Natchez Trace and mine dated to 1750.
John Connoway, state archaeologist in Clarksdale, Ms has done extensive research on the bells and can offer assistance In sure.
