Up in Smoke

Four wildfires burning in the state and a lot of smoke hanging over us. Worst fire danger in 18 years today. We were getting some smoke from the Grizzly Creek fire, but now it's from the Williams Fork fire north of us. Lot of smoke over Lake Dillon in the first pic, then went up along the Colorado River over towards Williams Fork Res.

That's sad..A few have been getting started around here because of lightning. Fortunately, we had a little rain with the storms.

Smoky down down here. I went through the Glenwood canyon on the ninth, but had to go around the grizzly fire on the way back. The view of the mountains was completely smoked out for a few days on the front range. It just now beginning to clear up some, but still quite a haze.

Here is what it looks like on this end actually this is pretty clear for the time of day.

I'll bet its a smoky sky all the way to the Missouri River. Cool looking sunsets for sure. This is a shot i took of the Pine Gulch fire as it was just getting out of control on August 5th. I had to go back this way to be in Delta on Monday the 10th and by then it was really out of control.
