Today me and my daughter who lives in Texas took a trip up to Rocky Mountain National Park. It was great to get up into the high mountain tundra and enjoy the green season with the tiny little blooming flowers up there. We took a little hike and I herd the EEP!! of a Pika and it's hard to zero in where the sound they make is coming from within all this wide open country of rocks and boulders, but my daughter spotted the little critter. It stayed put for a few shots and then disappeared out of sight. These Pika's are in a way related to the rabbit family and they're no bigger then a week old cottontail. It was a great time, as being my daughter lives in Texas now, it was rather refreshing for her to get up where the air is crisp, clear and cool enough to put a jacket on.

Wonderful shots Tamrock. Looks like a good water year, still some snow left in August.

One of these days I'll get out there. Beautiful!

Just don't come during winter because you can't get up to the high mountains. My favorite time is in the fall, as you'll have a better chance of seeing the moose, elk and big bucks.

Very nice photos, thanks! :occasion14:
