Next weekend a friend and I have planned to make a trip to several ghost towns here in Texas. We have researched them all and mapped our routes. Here is a list of spots we will be visiting. I am real excited as I will be bringing the detector !!

1. Independence
2. The Grove
3. Williams Ranch
4. Whon
5. Doole
6. Salt Gap
7. Calf Creek
8. Morris Ranch
9. Lukenbach
10. Praha

Wish us luck ! I pray we found some good things...... Maybe some ghosts too :) :)

PS: No Lurkers....No Creepers......Always packin' here ;)

Thanks for the list; but just swung by and those sites are swamped. Must be why the boards are quiet. May as well stay packed, not worth unpacking with all those other MDers out there.

You remind me of my daughter who lives in Pflugerville, TX. She is a transplanted Sooner but she loves living there. Monty

I think the pretty young lady was referring to a different kind of packing.]

Save some pictures from the hunt for us....................

Give ya a tidbit

Thousands flock to Praha every Aug for the Feast of the Assumption

Should be some good stuff in the ground since they been doing it since the 1800's to present day.

Not really a ghost town

Be sure not to miss the amazing painted interior of the church :icon_thumright:
