UPDATE: 1790 Colonial site...Gives me my first

[Dig This]

December 10th in Buffalo and 45 degrees = The Seeker, Timmy and I out to dig. Now John and Tim had been there a few times already and always came out with goodies, so I was hopefull I would not zero on the day. My Detector was injured on our last outing and John did some surgery on her, we were hoping it would work for me.
We got in the field and John pointed out how the ridge followed Thur the field and were most of the finds were popping out, I think he wanted to see me get a good hit today,Been in a slump to say the least. We all started out our own way and I headed towards the area John found silver, and within 30 minutes had a hit, about 8" down pulled out the large flat button. Cannot see any markings, soaking it now but it is bigger than a large cent.
At this point if thats all I found I would be happy as I have had way to many zero days. Then about an hour later I had a big hit, this hit made my heart pound....I knew I had a coin, dug the hole and 6" down there he lays...KING GEORGE....NICE. Cannot get a date but this is my first coin from the 1700's. 1809 is the oldest I have ever found now I am a happy hunter. Tim was close by so I had to jog over to him and show it off.
What is so nice about going with John and Tim is that they were as happy for me as I was for myself, True Treasure friends.
I have soaked the coin over nite and can start to see more image on the front, a few more days and hopfully I can get a date.

UPDATE: After soaking the coin I am able to get a date 1773 king george lll back is still a bit messed up so I will keep soaking, just glad to see a date. As for the large button, still full of gunk but starting to see that this button is all brass, will keep her soaking for awhile to see if I can get it cleaner...
