Update on Cartier watch I recently found

in Florida waters - Its real
I took to a couple of reputable watch dealers and they said it is genuine
though working fine - they recommend I put a little money into it and get it overhauled and if I wanted to get
the most out of it - the band and around the crystal could use a good buffing to get some of the fine scratches out
It is a Cartier Roadster and if cleaned up - they can bring close to $5000 in used condition. As is
still worth a few $$$

I don’t think I would wear it and risk scratching it more. I would display it for a while enjoy seeing it as a centerpiece. Not many watches with that value are found. Good luck whatever you do!

myself and a few others tried to look up serial #...Cartier wont release that info
hopefully anyone owning a watch that expensive - would have it insured

A few years back I had told my wife I found a watch for her. I called it a carter. She calls me up saying do you know what you have here? I’m like yea it’s a carter. She was no babe this is a Cartier watch. They have value. I had no idea what I had. Lol. Congrats Casper. You inspire me to get back out there. Life has just been to busy.

It does appear to be the real deal. It is very well worn (Polite way of saying its beat up good)
Dint dump a bunch of money into it because anyone ready drop the dollars on it will be able to tell that it has been polished.
A nice used one sells between 2000 and 3000 dollars without the box and paper Yours is worth 1200 to 1600 IMHO
Very nice score and one of my favorite Cartiers that and the Pashas. Well done Clean it up and wear it like you stole it!
