In July I had started a thread about finding a piece of aircraft -
http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/today-s-finds/507945-found-my-first-piece-airplane-2.html
Through this board and a pilots board, it was discovered to be a canopy lock for a WWII Vultee BT-13A Bomber trainer.
Lucky for me, the Evergreen Air and Space museum in McMinnville Oregon has one (and a lot of other cool stuff)

One of the volunteers let me through the ropes to take a pic with my find and the aircraft which is painted in the colors of the Tuskegee bomber group.
Cool end to the search - HH
