upper michigan prospecting

I just found out that my sister in-law and her boyfriend are buying a house in upper michigan by lake linden and may visit this summer and I was wondering if there is any good places to prospect in the area or the upper peninsula?

The people who created/sell the Gold Cube designed it originally to pull very fine gold out of the black sands from the great lakes. Look on You-Tube for videos (or the Gold Cube Website), ad you will see the process they used.
