USB charger for Nox 800

I have a 10W USB adapter 5.1volt 2.1amp is it safe to use. If you forget that the detector is charging will the Equinox automatically stop accepting the charge? Kellyco ran out of the designated 2 amp 5 volt usb charger. I can't find one. What is a smart charger? I am not the smart techy guy. Just a retired "simple tree man"

I just use a 2amp cell phone charger (with a USB port)

Mine are Samsung brand for their Galaxy phones.

Something that you could get at best buy or walmart.

Tom: The 10W 5.1VDC 2.1A IS safe to use. The Equinox will take what it wants and then shut down if you should leave it on for more then the usual few hours needed to fully charge. No need to go spend good hard earned money on another charger in addition to the one you have.
