Used 3030 from Australia I'm n the USA

i can get a used 3030 for a decent price that has a 2 year warranty left but it is from Australia and I am n the USA. Will there be any issues since it was not purchased in the USA?

For a private individual to purchase from overseas the only risk would be making sure its a legit machine and seller... there are no differences in the functionality of the CTX3030 from one region to another as far as I know...

You might also consider if the warranty in Australia is transferable to the USA. I know some manufacturers won't handle warranty repairs for units unless they are sent to the repair facility in the country where it was purchased.

Just in case anyone knows the warranty is transferable even if it was purchased outside the us but the detector must be shipped back to the original purchase location per say in our out of the usa at the owners expense.

Well i am not buying this b/c i just dont like the way it sounds but i wanted to post this in case anyone was int he same situation in the future. This is what Minelabs told me.

I believe you are correct, if it;s purchased overseas, it has to go to the overseas repair facility.

The freight and custom issues will make for an expensive and potentially long process.
