Using AT Pro in Hot Soil

I was just wondering how that particular lead sounded, or how it got dug to begin with. We know it read 00 which sucks out loud. But it got dug for some reason. Was it because it sounded a certain way, maybe a good way, or was it because it gave a crap 00 number on the screen? That's all I meant.

In this case, I found the .52 cal carbine bullet with my GPX 5000. Recognizing it was a bullet and before digging it, I called my friend over to hear what a bullet sounded like on his machine. The hit was smooth and firm but also had the solid iron grunt expected with a "00" reading. Then the bullet was dug and found to be at a depth of 10".

Hope that helps.

My ground balance usually is in the 70s, and with good headphones, 9 or 10" is totally achievable. That dime I found at 9", had no VDI, but had a clean, repeating high tone. Now, it was pretty faint but I could easily hear it. I dug an indian at 7+" that screamed like it was an inch down though. I usually use Iron desc 25, max sensitivity, and dig all clean repeating tones over 45. I get alot of junk, but I got a 6g 14k ring that only read 47...I use the AT Gold with the 8"DD coil or the sniper coil.
