It's a beautiful time in Wyoming now. Cool blue partly cloudy skies and lots of green rolling prairie as far as the eye can see along the drive. Been reading books during these times of isolation. One was, Nothing Like In The World by Steven Ambrose written about the construction of the Transcontinental Railroad. Before the UP and CP were even connected these enterprises were paying for some of the construction by advertising to get your gun and ride the train to the Great Prairie's of Nebraska, Kansas and Wyoming to take great pleasure in shooting the hell of Buffalo and Taxidermist were making a fortune in satisfying the ego of many a hunter. Sad it is, but it's all water under the bridge, as they say and it ain't ever gonna flow back the other way. Thankfully some of what are left survived to breed with others from Canada, but only a genetically mixed species is all that's really left. It was kidda nice to see cars from other states traveling along our great I80 road and stop as I did to admire and take pictures of these wonderful animals who are now confined within the borders of a fence.
