Has anybody gold hunted with the whites v3i ,if so does it work or not ? I just purchase one with a extra coil 6x10 DD . Thanks

The V3i has way more bells and whistles than a person needs for prospecting, but I have a friend that has one who has paid for the machine many times over in gold nuggets found. His finds were featured on White's website. The 22 kHz single frequency mode is quite powerful. I would not buy one just to prospect with it but since you have one it certainly can be used successfully to find gold nuggets. The 6x10 DD is the way to go for prospecting in general.

I bought a V3i with the hope of finding gold and .....well everything else too. I have found quite a few things, but no nuggets yet. I have high hopes. I have spent plenty of time on the detector and there may be a few settings that I have no clue about... I still feel confident that I will eventually swing over a nugget. Best find to date was a gold earring......
