I get the gist of the machine but the "high tone factory mod."
whats it about ?
what is it ?
so does it have a dual tone (mid range tone also i.e. high tone for silver/copper) ?
or does it just have a HIGHER tone then the standard factory stock model?
im guessing the latter just a higher tone then the stock model

It is just a higher pitched tone than the standard tone. Still just one tone.
Some people like it and some don't.

The Killer Bees headphones give a higher tone than any of the cheap ones I used to use.
I would not want it any higher.

The Vaqueros come from the factory stock with the low tone, but if you have a low tone, you can send it back to the factory and have them modify for something like $15. Some dealers stock high tone Vaqueros.
