Happy Holidays to all members!

I ordered a new arm bracket and battery door for my Vaquero through the warranty but instead of getting a Vaquero model bracket, I got one that I think is for the Tejon; Both halves have got sideways plastic compartments with snap-open doors (maybe for batteries)? Would these still fit the diameter of the metal pole of a Vaquero? I've left my detector back in Europe and have no way to test the fit until i return. Also, the package was missing the replacement battery door; this is probably the second time i recall ordering one and never getting it :dontknow:. Can any of you recommend an alternate source of getting this component; the plastic tongue on mine has been broken off for over a year and it's pretty tough getting it to stay shut with just tape.

Regardless of that, I still want to commend Tesoro's customers service once again for their excellent punctuality and customer care. I was told over the phone that I might not be able to get these parts until the week after New Years because of their high mail volume due to other customers. Three days later after ordering, I find the package in my mailbox delivered from Arizona to Michigan. :hello2: Thank you once again Tesoro!

I have a Vaquero and have ordered a battery door and coil hardware from of of the many on line sites that offer replacement parts. The parts are the same as what was on the detector from the factory. Just type in what you are looking for and choose the site you what.
Good Luck and Happy Holidays

Skyboy, I believe I would call Tesoro, and ask to talk to Rusty Henry. Your results are not at all like Tesoro service and I bet Rusty can solve your problem real quick !Sounds like too many folks between you and the parts shelf.Rusty will fix that for you pronto! Merry Christmas and HH, Cass

i can only echo cass's reply. Contact Tesoro directly and i'm sure you'll be better satisfied.

I have to go along with that.....I think they got someone working there that does not know there job or just don't care about there job.....

Appreciate the reply my friends, I'll go ahead and give this a try then let of know what comes of it.

Best wishes to all

Well, problem fixed. Did not talk to Rusty but to a real nice lady instead who I quote "guaranteed" that what will be in the package is what I asked for. My hat goes off to Tesoro once again for their excellent customer care.
