Vending Machine Merc

I was at Advance Auto in Stephens City, today. Didn't eat breakfast this morning, got a little hungry working on the car. Got a bag of chips out of a vending machine outside the dealer. I got this in change!!! 1931 Mercury Dime. I showed it to the guy at the counter. He said he didn't think that the machine would take silver coins, so it must have come from the company that fills the machine. Now I want to buy some more snacks.

Cheapest thing is a roll of Life Savers, 65 cents, I get back 35 cents in change......may work.

I don't think so, I got my 15 cents back, my bag of chips cost 85 cents. I deposited a dollar.

Not TOO hard to find, I've pulled about 15 Mercz out of rolls this year alone, also 6 Barber dimes.

I found these 2 Merc's yesterday while looking through circulated coins, 1944p & 1945p + 4 silver Roosies.

Get a crapload of ones and put them in the machine. Hit the coin return button and see if you get any more silver. I got a couple silver quarters and dimes at school this way.
