Pheasant Hunter
Greenie
Mrs. Pheasant Hunter and I went for a ride, out in the country, to where a school stood in the 1800's. Nothing there but a clearing full of weeds and saplings, now. Hit it for about 20 minutes, but it was nearly impossible to swing the coil. We weren't hitting any signals, so we decided to ride and look for another spot.
We parked at the end of an old road that goes out through the woods and decided to walk it, as it runs up through a valley, near a small stream. About 100 yards from the car, I noticed an old stone foundation, about 15 yards back in. As we approached the foundation, I got a solid hit and found a button. The next hit was right at the edge of the foundation, and turned out to be an axe head. Over the next hour, we found numerous pieces of metal - some from a welcome sign, and some that we believe are from the stove.
With darkness moving in rapidly and no flashlight, we called it a night. We still have lots to check around the foundation and the interior, as I never made it that far.
Here are a couple pics of some of the stuff we found.
