Vernal Equiox?

Pictures of standing brooms has been all over Facebook today.

There is a myth that a broom will only stand on its own during an equinox when the planets are aligned a certain way or the Earth is on a certain axis. I have a broom standing in my kitchen that has been there for at least 15 minutes on its own. It is not even close to a new broom or in any kind of decent shape. I'm curious if there is any truth to the myth or if there is another explanation?

Heck I have a broom that has been standing in the kitchen for months and no one has touched it.Practically unused!Of course it is leaning against something.

they used to say it about dimes too.

I used to be able to stand dimes on the bar at work,
and stand dimes on the dimes, & not just during the Equinox.

I always figured Urban Legend also

what you have to do is stand it where
it's safe till the equanox ends.
if it falls a second after,
