Hi

I didn't have a good spot to MD today so I went back to the park that has failed me every single time I went there. I searched about 1.5 hours and found plenty of clad, so I was about to leave (doesn't all of these stories involve someone about to leave lol). Anyway I was about to leave but decided to search behind the pavilion for the heck of it. Couldn't find anything but clad there right?

WRONG!

Found this silver quarter and thought sweet I guess I can stick around a little longer. This is my second silver quarter in the 3 weeks I've been detecting.

So then about 5 minutes after finding that I found THIS!

First one I've ever had. I thought I would never find anything like that. I'm freaking excited!

Sweet..... big silver and then bigger silver on top of that. What could be better. Those walkers are pretty coins. Congrats.

Great finds! Persistence pays off!

WOW! Great score, Mr. Helton! :hello2: :hello2:

Nice score! More inspiration for me to want to get a detector and get out into the dirt! What type of detector are you using?

I'm using a Fisher F2 with the 8" coil it came with. Seems to be a great starter model and I would recommend it to anyone.

Digging two silvers like that after being skunked before shows you have what it takes to dig out the good stuff, congrats on the half she's a sight for sore eyes.:icon_thumleft:

Finding a Walker after only three weeks detecting?

If I recall correctly, it was months before I found my first one, and that was over 30 years ago and there were a heck of a lot more Walkers in the ground then!

Guess you are completely hooked now :)
