very good cw day in Petersburg

[diggervet]

Went back to the same general area in Petersburg Va. today with my son, and two friends. I hadn't found anything until my friend said he had found 4 dropped bullets in a small area and he invited me to hunt it with him. I found twenty five or so(I lost count!) of the bullets shown, the bayonet scabbard tip and the belt end hook within a five foot radius of a small pine tree! Found the eagle coat button in another area. My son found the rest of the items including the small eagle cuff. Unfortunately our further access is limited so we may not be able to get back in, but we'll try.

Digger, that is one fantastic hunt! Looks like a campsite. Some people look all their lives for a spot like that!! Good stuff.
