This was a very unusual, but good day.
Bi|ker and I were going to meet this morning at a couple of empty lots. He got there first (as usual) and I showed up a little bit later. I no sooner got out of the car when he came up to me to show me the coins that he found. He pulled 8 Sacajawea dollars out of one hole. It was the first hole that he dug. I couldn't believe it. That was fantastic.
I got rigged up and joined him. I wasn't there for more than 15 minutes when I got a mixed signal and started to dig. Low and behold, it was a Sacajawea dollar. I rechecked the hole, got another signal and pulled another one out. After a few minutes of digging up more dollars, I checked my pocket to see how many I had. I held 8 of them in my hand. (Humm... eight... that's what Bill found). I HAD to find ONE more coin. I checked all around that hole and got another signal... YES... .. and pulled out the 9th dollar.
We eventually left that spot and tried another but didn't find anything. We thought we'd try one more place before calling it a day.
We found a couple things there. Nothing good.
These are the dollar coins still dirty:
This is what they looked like after I got all the dirt off:
This is what they looked like after I cleaned them:
Turned out I had 7 Sacajaweas and 2 Susan B. Anthony's.
This is the rest of the days finds:
Oh yeah.. and here's a little silver that I found a few days ago, but didn't get around to posting:
One more thing.... This was Bill's birthday. Don't forget to wish him a Happy BD.
