Came out of a home site in Hanover County VA. Lots of military activity in the area.

I will say now without the dimensions and exact weight that you have definitely dug a Civil War Cannon Ball.
Possibly mortar ball but will need the exact size and weight to truly ID.
As far as value... what someone will pay... it is and will be a desired piece to collectors.

Closer 10" diameter
