Recently obtained this Tacitus Silvered Antoninianus. It is a mystery as to how the Romans applied the silvering to these base metal planchets. You can see the base metal showing through at 12'Oclock on the obverse. They usually do not survive this well preserved over the years. This one probably was protected by a vessel of some sort. I've also included a link to one of these that sold on coinarchives.com a while back for a hefty sum.
