Good patina. I take it that its copper? Nice find

[vince76]

Don't u think it is bronze?

[tamrock]

I would think it's bronze. Does look pretty old. Maybe Byzantine? - 8th to 10th century? Hopefully Silver Searcher or CRUSADER will see it and help you out more then I can. Ancient Bronze Roman /byzantine Ring With ' Decorated ' Bezel

[Tony in SC]

Nice old ring!! Was it plated? Tony

I've found a few similar in the UK over the years. It looks Roman to me. The design is a pattern derived from an eagle with spread wings. Great find, not very valuable I'm afraid but hey, who cares?
