Hey guys one of my first few posts on here. Today I got permission to hunt a new property that dates back to the 1850s. Here is a group shot of all of what I got today!

After 15 minutes of hunting I pulled out my first silver ring and it looks to be quite old. Here are a few pics.

Anyone know what kind of stone that is?

Silver!

It has the number "27" on the back of it... anyone know what this means?

Hey Buck , Very nice finds indeed ! The ring is very likely Native American , and highly likely Navajo made . the twist wire and other

decorative elements surrounding the bezel , are very typical of the pieces made from the 1940's to 1970's era. The silver designation

of 925 - is a rather later denotation , more like 1960's on I feel . Oh yes , the stone is turquoise . Nice find ! Argentium.

Thanks alot for you help! Any idea about what the 27 is? Thanks again! HH

Sorry I just don't have enough info to put up a good guess about the 27 - there are just too many possibles . If that shank was

hallmarked sterling or even just silver , I would think it dates to the 40's or 50's - I'll do some research on when the navajo began

using 925 , if I find an earlier usage I'll let you know , the split band shank - where it meets the back plate also feels earlier to me .

Argentium.

Great Ring Buck! Welcome to the forum. You found a real cool variety of stuff. Love the door knob and token as well. My guess is that the 27 on the ring may be the numbering for an original piece. Custom made maybe? Argentium is dead on with his description.

Nice finds Buck(PA). I Like them all.

All are nice finds, but I especially like the doorknob. I am sure that you will have plenty more finds from the site, so keep us posted.

Nice finds. if you can get a good photo of the mark prior to the 925, you might be able to id the maker of the ring.
The door knob looks to me to be a cane top instead. Any markings on it?

I cannot recall the name of the Lock, buts it should be around 1858, I have the same one!!

Excellent digs!
